Cooperative Management of Natural Resources
The experiences of managing cooperatives dealing with common pool resources in diverse regions of India is presented in this volume, which will encourage a richer understanding of the new management strategies required to strengthen people's participation in development.
The case studies cover a range of sectors including: forestry, agro-forestry, minor forest produce, salt, irrigation, and riverline and marine fisheries. They blend together both environmental and economic perspectives within a framework of cooperative action.
