Lauren Singer of Cape Town was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis nearly 15 years ago. For the past eight years, her closest companion has been Fred, a Golden Retriever trained as a Service Dog. Lauren has now written a title, using Fred as the narrator, capturing with great humour and pathos the relationship between the two: the love, the adventure and the occasional power struggle.
