Hemifacial Spasm - A Multidisciplinary Approach
This volume covers the descriptive anatomy of the facial nerve, then looks at the functional and neurophysiological aspects. The following chapters are devoted to diagnostic problems (clinical diagnosis, electrophysiological investigations and MR imaging). After chapters on non-surgical treatment modalities, the emphasis of the book is placed on the surgical possibilities of the treatment. Specialists from different fields - neurosurgery, stereotactic neurosurgery, endovascular treatment and ENT (ear, nose and throat) surgery - discuss the results of their respective procedures. The book concludes with an overview and conclusions for therapy by the editors.
