Meir Shinitzky, Ph.D., is a Professor of Biophysics in the Department of Membrane Research and Biophysics, The Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. Since 1971, his research has focused on various aspects of membrane structure and dynamics. Currently his main interest is in manipulation of membrane fluidity for clinical diagnoses and treatments.
