The broad aim of the book is to try to illuminate the contribution of philosophy of sport to our understanding of contemporary sport. The chapters address some of the different fields of philosophy and their application in philosophy of sport including: aesthetics, ethics, philosophy of education, philosophy of rules, and social and political philosophy.
