This book contains Wang Lan's representative works over the past 36 years, as well as essays about her art, and the personal, cultural, and social contexts in which she has developed as an artist. It also contains a large number of photographs. Taken as a whole, the book represents a case study that documents how one artist has followed her quest for artistic fulfilment in two vastly different environments.
