A fast and funny celebration of more than 250 of history's greatest oddballs, all of whom just happen to be British. The title refers to aristocrat, John 'Mad Jack' Mytton, whose premature demise was brought on through injuries he sustained setting fire to his nightshirt to cure his hiccups. As he slumped into unconsciousness he said, 'Well, the hiccups is gone, by God.'
