The author takes the reader on an exciting fast- paced romp through every different story but is careful to include enough detail and emotion to make each tale believable. The subjects and characters are extraordinarily diverse but remain within the parameters of conceived normality.
Amid these narratives of intrigue and imagination are a number of themes which often overlap and interlock. The SUPERNATURAL plays its part in all but a couple of the stories and at least three feature GHOSTS directly whilst in a number of the others their presence is inferred. Other topics include TIME-WARPS and the “ins and outs” of SPACE-TRAVEL while REINCARNATION and human PSYCHOLOGY provide the back-drop to another pair of sagas.
The stories are told in a manner which embraces the thoughts of the main character and encourages the reader to either empathise or form their own opinion of the way things should proceed. Some tales are hard and perhaps rather frightening while others have a romantic edge with a happy ending reflecting the authors basic optimism.
Whilst there is quite a time range between some of the presentations there are always plenty of hints as to the actual time and place of the action. There is some degree of political and social comment in one or two of the tales but this is largely for the sake of the dialog and shouldn't be taken too seriously.
