Godfrey Parsons washed up at an old folks home in the north of England, but he couldn't stand the suffocating regime. So aged 79, he set out to walk 400 miles to find his first true love. He had not seen Sally since he had left her home port in Cornwall as a 17 year old on his first voyage. On his way across England, he endured many adventures before the unexpected climax.
