Gutter is an award-winning, high quality, printed journal for fiction and poetry from writers born or living in Scotland. The editors believed there is a need for an energetic, ambitious magazine dedicated exclusively to the best in new Scottish creative writing. Issue 08 features published and emerging writers alike including Simon Biggam, Nick Brooks, AC Clarke, Sally Evans, Graham Fulton, Rodge Glass, Andy Jackson, Vicki Jarrett, Brian Johnstone, David Kinloch, Bridget Khursheed, Brian McCabe, Rob McClure Smith, Kirsten McKenzie, Hugh McMillan, Gordon Meade, Theresa Munoz and Kirstin Zhang In 2010 Gutter won the Chairman's Award in the Scottish Design Awards, as well as Best Publication and received a nomination for Best Use of Craft. It was also nominated for Best Consumer Magazine Design is the Scottish Magazine Awards 2011.
