The new interdisciplinary theology series, published by the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Tubingen, provides a forum for the discussion of interdisciplinary aspects of theology. The focus is on approaches that relate to theology and its exegetical, historical, systematic and practical disciplines bring them into conversation with each other and with other sciences Tolerance is one of the cornerstones of democratic societies. The tolerance that has been hard-won in European history is currently being challenged, not least by the tensions and conflicts that arise from religious beliefs. Religion often appears as a source of intolerance.
