A survey of the scrolls scholarship that took place over a period of over 50 years, this work has chapters that concentrate on how the scrolls contributed about questions in the development of early Judaism and early Christianity. The specific areas discussed are Scriptures and how biblical writing was formed, transmitted and interpreted.
