A collection of verse by the accomplished Sangster who was a nineteenth century author and editor, noted in her day for her stories and books that mingled Christian devotion with homely wisdom; for her editorial work, most notably as editor of Harpers Bazaar; and she also found time to do a sizable amount of miscellaneous work, ranking as one of the most popular American poets for many years.
