In Rinconete y Cortadillo Cervantes approaches the picaresque genre and shows, with irony and humor, the world of the Sevillian underworld in the 16th century. Byzantine novel, The English Spaniard tells the story of love and adventures of Isabela, kidnapped in CÁdiz at the age of seven and educated in England, and Ricaredo, captured by the Turks.
