This work is the result of numerous requests and contains information on these three ancient settlements and their surrounding villages. Closely interwoven throughout their history with the land and the sea, generations of a tenacious breed have left their mark. Descendants from 'sand-grown' families, fiercely proud of their lineage are around today and it is through regular meeting with these people and long friendships which have developed that the author can bring detail to this illustrated account.
