I Want To Sing Without Crying tells the story of recently divorced Lindy who decides that now is the time to start a new life where she does what she wants instead of being taken advantage of by others. Patricia Rose's story relates how complicated this new life becomes when she forms a tense sexual relationship with an artist, a married man. Normally a confident, self-assured woman this relationship and other unexpected frightening situations combine to test that confidence. Lindy has to cope and try to make sense of all these situations in the hope of finding a satisfactory resolution and the new life she dreamt of.
