Rosaali Karjam on Kihnu saare tunnustatud käsitöömeister, pärimuse kandja ja uuendaja. Esimesed kindad kudus Roosi 4–5aastasena.
This book publishes the letters and manuscript notes about mitten patterns sent by Roosi from Kihnu Island to well-known Estonian jewellery artist and researcher Kärt Summatavet, PhD.
Roosi describes from whom and where she has collected mitten patterns, and when and by whom these specific mittens have been worn or made. She also adds personal memories, opinions and views that help her to understand who and what influenced her when she was collecting patterns from Kihnu. The Kihnu cultural space has been included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
