1895. Romanes, British biologist, was personal friends with Charles Darwin who had substantial influence on his studies. Despite early strong religious beliefs, Romanes was converted to Darwinism. His studies covered three related fields: physiology, psychology and evolution. This volume was published posthumously and is based on notes that were found among his papers for a work he was intending to write on the fundamental questions of religion.
