Based in Barcelona, the Barozzi Veiga Arquitectos was established by Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga in 2004. Among their realised buildings are the re-modelling and extension of the headquarters of the Ruling Board for Guarantee of Origin for the Spanish Ribera del Duero winegrowing region in Roa and the Philharmonic House in Szczecin, Poland. They have also been awarded first prizes in the competitions for the extension of the Bundner Kunstmuseum Chur, Switzerland, and for a new building for the Musee des Beaux Arts in Lausanne, also in Switzerland. The search for the primal condition of every piece of the city, town, or landscape where they work is the core interest of Barozzi Veiga's work. This new book is the first comprehensive monograph on Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga. It is a subjective compilation of notions, concepts, and interests essential to their everyday professional practice. Each project or building featured in the book is richly illustrated with images, drawings and diagrams. The book aims to go beyond mere description. It rather offers a broader body of knowledge capturing the entirety of Barozzi Veiga's architecture.
