Message of 1929 Roerich Museum Series
1930. This rare book on the Roerich Museum and the Urusvati, Himalayan Research Institute describes the very moments of its founding and dedication. The museum houses the artwork of the great painter, traveler, and scholar of the East Nicholas Roerich. Like Ruskin or Tolstoi in other fields of beauty, Roerich has devoted his art not to a mere expression of superficial and temporary emotions, but has made them a form of spiritual vision for the service of humanity. The Institute is dedicated to archaeology in Tibet, and consists of four departments, a Dept. of Archaeology, related sciences and arts, a Dept. of Natural Sciences and applied research, a Research Library, and a Museum.
