The journal charts a woman in her fifties and her quest for a revisionist hip operation which was made difficult because she had shrunken lungs due to Lupus. She found it difficult for anyone to treat her, for fear she would not wake up after the operation. She noticed how differently she was treated, now that she was no longer a bright young thing. This was hard for her to accept. Along with the surprises her family had in store. It was now a time for her to re-assess the life left to her, to live and do it justice.
