Summer 1995.

Vandal. Truant. Thief. Off the rails and heading for disaster - fifteen-year-old Marvin has no more bridges left to burn in his south Wales valleys hometown. Guilt-ridden over the departure of his alcoholic mother from the family home, he dreams of a chance to start fresh at her new place down in Cardiff if only he can persuade her he's changed for the better. But armed with nothing more than a scrawled address and a lucky American penny, will Marvin have the courage or resources to seek out his mother and grasp his chance of redemption? Not without the help of Becca, a streetwise tearaway with a razor tongue and even sharper wits who might just prove to be his only saviour or his ultimate downfall as together they embark on a wild, lawless journey through the underbelly of the city.
