The Wee Book of Glasgow Trams
Glasgow's tramcars have a unique place in the history of the city. They are a symbol of a bygone era but, for many Glaswegians, the tram was as much a part of everyday life as the Co-op and the weather.
In the forty years that have elapsed since Glasgow's last official tram journey, the city has changed dramatically in both appearance and attitude. This album of photographs captures the tram's place in the making of the city – the scenes that no longer exist, the people who made the system work, the crashes, the strains of wartime and the emotional farewell.
