Roberts believes we are in the early stages of a technology-based revolution, a revolution that is changing the fabric of our civilisation. Changing the way we work, the way we learn, the way we interrelate, the way we buy and sell things, the way we are educated, and the way we are entertained-; in short, the very essence of the way we live. What will humanity look like in twenty years' time? He offers a look. In this edition included are his thoughts on a new advertising effectiveness model, and a very useful "How To" guide section on many of the Secrets of the New Economy, secrets that his group has personally mastered and commercialised for profit.

The book also discusses the evolution of Content and its connection to Comment, Curation, and what he calls the Conversation Prism. The New Economy, its digital capabilities, and interconnectivity has made 1960s, Mad Men-type advertising as obsolete as smoking inside offices. The days of the advertising interruption, consumer demographics and the power of hidden persuasion has all but been edited out. The industry itself has recently even officially announced this, saying at day one of the 2011 Cannes Lion Awards Event that "it's no longer about advertising, but commercial creativity," something Roberts has been quoted publicly since 2007. He offers a new model of effectiveness.
