The Mobile Clinic Health Examination Survey carried out in the late sixties and early seventies by the Social Insurance Institution of Finland in rural, semiurban and industrial communities in six geographical regions of the country is one of the first large population based investigations which can be used for prospective studies on diet and health.
The present study investigates the intakes of antioxidant vitamins in this large population and evaluates their relationship with the occurrence of lung cancer during a follow-up of 20 years.
