Richy Roethke has only just arrived at his grandmother's house, and has only just met the lovely Marianne Moore. But suddenly things are not as they seem, and the discovery of a storybook, from which his grandmother has read a very strange tale, is just the beginning. Soon Richy and Mary will find themselves whisked away on a wonderful adventure, but will they be able to survive the secrets they uncover along the way, or confront the dark forces which threaten to pull their world apart?
