The siege of LENINGRAD is one of the greatest stories of extraordinary and heroic endurance in World War II, where the city was deliberately cut off from escape, roads and supplies in order to slowly starve the population. Anna Reid is a Russian historian and journalist and in LENINGRAD she answers many of the previously unanswered questions about the siege, ie. How much was the Soviet disorganisation to blame for the blockade and could more lives have been saved if it had been better organised?
