The book features Rafael de Swartes original photography and prose-poetry. The photos have been taken in Rauhalinna, Kaarina, Parainen, Porkkala and Mikkeli, the writing is concerned with personal and universal themes with inspiration from the Finnish people in the photos, historical references of Karelia and from reading about poets such as Edith Södegran. The book is bi-lingual english-finnish with some swedish and two poems also in german. It has taken two years to complete.
