A companion text to General Engineering specifically written to cover the C&G Science Background to Engineering units of the C&G Basic Engineering Competencies (2010), for those students wishing to obtain a certificate or endorsement for an occupation. It also complements the 'underpinning knowledge and understanding' elements of the Engineering Training Authority's (EnTra) basic training units and provides the knowledge required for the NVQ in Engineering Manufacture (Foundation) level 2.
