Progression: Harri Nokso (g), Jaan Jaanson (g), Jussi-Matti Haavisto (vla), Otso Pakarinen (keyb, synt, g), Jan-Olof Strandberg (b), Kimmo Pörsti (dr, perc). The first version of Progression was formed in 1976. After a long break, the group was reformed in 2002 by its leader Harri Nokso, the only remaining original band member. Progression's first album "The Dream of Cecilia" was released in 2007. Some changes in the lineup took place after that and the band started to prepare its second album with a lot of enthusiasm in 2010. After some intense rehearsing and a promising start, the recording process came to a halt for many reasons in 2011. As a result, the recordings languished on the shelf for many years until 2016, which is when Kimmo, Otso and Jan-Olof - the newest band members - decided to finally finish this project. It was 40 years after Progression's inception after all. So, what you hear on this album are the tracks which were supposed to form the core of Progression's second album - more than demos but perhaps a little bit less than a complete, polished "normal" album. As some of the intended tracks were never recorded, four pieces from Progression's live gigs in 2009 and 2012 have been added as bonus tracks.
