Carol Johnson is seven years-old and is about to embark on journeys that will take her around the world. She will go back in time and also visit the present - with the aid of a magical "dream pomy." The dream pony's name is Algonquin. He has lived in the real world but he now provides Carol with an opportunity to visit places she never dreamed existed.
