America 1845: In the early days of photography former US President, Andrew Jackson, is having his picture taken by a celebrated photographer from New York. But from Northern Ireland comes a woman who challenges the ex-president to support a movement to break union with Britain. Jackson, having already driven the British out of America, is inspired by her influence and by her memories of his heroic past. The chance to help solve Ulster's troubles proves a better prospect for posterity than a photograph of a tired old general.
