This book discusses three Greek tragedies: Aeschylus' Seven Against Thebes, Sophocles' Antigone, and Euripides' Heracles. Its focus is on continuity and discontinuity, unity and disintegration, connection and separation both in the structure and in the thematic content of these plays. All extended Greek passages are accompanied by a translation.
