This workbook was developed for intermediate French II, the second of a three-course sequence (intermediate French) that is taught each quarter at the University of California, San Diego. Intermediate French II continues the review of grammar begun in intermediate French I. It develops students’ oral and written skills through the reading and analysis of Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac and Schwarz-Bart’s Ton Beau Capitaine.
The workbook includes vocabulary, oral, and written exercises that integrate grammar and new vocabulary, as well as analytical questions, leading to a better understanding of the cultural context of each work.
Exercises are presented on detachable pages to facilitate instructors’ corrections.
