This workbook was developed in the context of an intermediate French course (intermediate French I) taught each quarter at the University of California San Diego. The course undertakes a thorough review of grammar and develops oral and written language skills by analyzing short stories, comic strips, and movies selected from various French-speaking countries.
Each unit contains biographical information about the writer under study, oral, and written exercises that integrate grammar and new vocabulary, as well as analytical questions leading to a better understanding of the cultural context of each work.
Exercises are presented on detachable pages to facilitate instructors’ corrections.
