This was Pink Floyd's ninth studio album and undoubtedly one of their most popular. The standout track, "Shine on..." was written in tribute to former band member Syd Barrett, whose mental state had declined in previous years. The new 'Discovery' version presents the original studio album, digitally remastered by James Guthrie and reissued with a newly designed Digipak and a new 12 page booklet designed by Storm Thorgerson.
