This conference presents recent developments and future prospects relating to synchrotron radiation sources, optics, detectors, and experimental techniques. The rapid growth in facilities and users and the expansion into the fields of molecular environmental science, structural molecular biology, spectromicroscopy, and infrared spectroscopy have led to developments relevant to all working with synchrotron radiation instrumentation.
