For the first time in Russia a unique project / Photo-biennale of the Russian Museum has been launched within the framework of a museum. Professional and amateur photographers from 80 cities in various regions of the Russian Federation contributed to the project. The publication includes 970 works by 400 photographers. Various genres, united in the project, - reportage, portraiture, landscape, still-life, nude, sport, ballet, everyday life, ethno, religion and art - feature both classical understanding of photography and its topical interpretations.
