Paavo Pylkkänen has contributed remarkable insights to philosophy of quantum mechanics and philosophy of mind already during four decades. The fundamental questions of the nature of consciousness, the nature of matter, and their relationship are the nexus that ties together the biggest part of Paavo's work. His work and open and inviting attitude continues to inspire colleagues, students and friends to engage with those questions in their respective fields and occupations.
In honour and celebration of Paavo's work, this Festschrift contains texts by Raisa Marjamäki, Tuomas E. Tahko, Antti Hautamäki, Timo Laiho, Sami Pihlström, Jari Palomäki, Kristjan Loorits, Ilkka Pättiniemi, Tarja Kallio-Tamminen, Jens Allwood, Ahti Lampinen, Maxim Stamenov, Stuart Hameroff, Ari Peuhu, Basil Hiley, Gordon Globus, Seppo Luoma-Keturi, Matti Vaittinen, Petteri Limnell, Tere Vadén and Stig Stenholm.
