The compositions forming this exact publication were initially representing different musical genres. Meanwhile, the mentioned genres rather rarely go side-by-side in the same concert programs. “Ex profundis memori” is a dramatic string quartet, reviving the sucession of pictures from the past time, almost the whole life. “Forgotten Melody” and “Humoresque” are light pieces intended for synchronization. However, due to Grigory Korchmar's concert arrangement skilfully made for the string orchestra these compositions the same stylistic and genre wavelength.
