Getting the Picture - The Ekphrastic Principle in Twentieth-Century Spanish Poetry
This study takes a probing look at how Spanish poets of the twentieth century read objects of visual art and write poems that use the discursive strategy known as ekphrasis and, in turn, how they are read by those texts. As a result, those artistic works OOreadOO by the poets are inscribed in the poetsO own distinctive stance toward such issues as textuality, representation, language, power, and so forth.
