Beneath the Baobab is a collection of poems by Amelia Blossom Pegram. Inspiration for these poems comes from Pegram's experiences as a Black South African brought up under the rule of Apartheid, of her exile from her native country, and of her world travels that finally brought her to America as an actor, dancer, playwright, teacher, and activist.
