A hundred years has passed since the Church of Progression came to power with the Cardinal at its helm, crushing the spirit of Hestonia beneath an iron-shod boot. Sent on a mission to recover a dangerous magical artifact containing the teachings of the demonic Anshada, Kalon's quest brings him across many of the Church's targets: magic-users, wizards, and descendants of the once-powerful Anshada. Yet, as the church's conspiracies and internal strife begin to affect Kalon's mission, ultimately threatening to doom it, even Kalon begins to doubt the established order of things, sending him into uncharted territories to understand the role Fate herself has planned for him.
