During years of experience with all forms of symbols, Parkhurst developed the system herein described. It has been in continuous use, wholly or in part, in various industrial establishments for many years. Only a sufficient number of examples are given to convey clearly to the reader how different variations may be worked out to suit any particular case. The system is sufficiently flexible to meet all requirements in any kind of business or profession.
