This highly amusing book depicts upper class British characters, including Ukridge who does not have a grip on reality. He contacts Garnet an old friend with the idea of starting a chicken farm. Sounds simple get chickens, have them lay eggs, and make money. Things go find until Garnet sees a young lady and falls in love. Complications start and the humor escalates.
