With its 454 seats, the beautiful old theatre has fifty thousand visitors from all over the world every year. The stage sets and machinery are still in good condition and provide a unique setting for the yearly performances. The whole building is portrayed in over a hundred recent photographs taken by Max Plunger. The chief author is the architect Ove Hidemark, who describes the history and conservation of the building. The former Director Per Edström is the guide behind the scenes.
