A hybrid poetry and performance text, The Cancion Cannibal Cabaret is the much anticipated second book by award-winning author and performance poet Amalia Ortiz. Focused on the theme of revolution and inspired by current issues of social injustice, The Cancion Cannibal Cabaret is set in a not-so-distant dystopian future. As a text, it is a collection of post-apocalyptic prose poems and poem songs "cannibalizing" knowledges from before the fall of civilization.
