Toikan lasilintuja käsittelevä täysin kaksikielinen (suomi-englanti) hakuteos, jossa Oiva Toikan erittäin laajaa lintu- ja munatuotantoa on esitelty kronologisesti varsin kattavasti värivalokuvin ja tekstein alkaen 1970-luvulta aina vuoden 2023 loppuun asti.

Suomenkielinen ja englanninkielinen teksti kulkee kirjassa tasavertaisesti rinnakkain.

Toikan Lasilinnut - Toikka's Glassbirds is the most comprehensive one ever written about the glassbirds designed by Oiva Toikka. It is a hard cover book with 400 pages. The book is the result of a collaboration between enthusiastic collectors all over the world who wanted to gather together all available information about the Toikka birds. The primus motor, who for a couple of years has been working hard with collecting the pictures and information and editing the material for the book, is Marg Cousens, the editor of the book.

On the first 200 pages over 650 different birds are presented with excellent quality color pictures spanning from the very early birds of the 1970s to birds of 2023. Here you find all the ordinary catalogue birds as well as an unprecedented selection of commissioned birds and birds produced for special events.
After this follows 21 pages with eggs: catalogue eggs, annual eggs, special commissioned eggs and rare eggs.
On the next 12 pages the birds and eggs produced for SCOPE in Japan are presented.

After this follows 80 pages of interesting reading because here certain bird groups are presented together.

The Educational chapter (25 pages) contains sections about signatures, labels and stickers as well as about the boxes and how these have changed over the years and other useful information. Also there are a few words about collection care.

The next 17 pages of the book contain pictures of interesting, very rare or unique birds as well as of prototypes and last you find pictures of a rich variety of display arrangements and of plentiful private collections.

This is the "must have" book for every Toikka bird collector!
