The hundred-year commemoration of the end of World War I, which can also be called a German-French war, currently demands that German-French relations be subjected to scrutiny once again. A century after the Grande Guerre, what is the state of the oft-invoked "friendship" between the two countries? With this question as a point of departure, the anthology takes inventory and, thanks to the essays by renowned scientists and scholars, provides an updated overview of various themes involving German-French relations (politics, history, culture, literature, youth, ...) for young adults, students, and other interested parties. The Kunststiftung NRW was fortunate enough to persuade prestigious authors to contribute to the Reims project, including Alfred Grosser, Helene Miard-Delacroix, Claire Demesmay, Hans Stark, Gilbert Casasus, Corine Defrance, and Ulrich Pfeil.
Bilingual: German and French.
