Principles and Practice of Pharmacology for Anaesthetists
This third edition of Principles and Practice of Pharmacology for Anaesthetists retains the same overall structure as the previous editions, but two new chapters have been added.
The first of these is a general account of drug isomersim with particular reference to anaesthetic agents. Isomerism is currently of great interest due to the fact that a number of single isomer versions of existing drugs are now likely to be introduced into clinical practice in the near future. The second new chapter concerns local hormones and autacoids. Some of these topics are covered in various places in the Second Edition, but the recent increase in knowledge about these compounds means they warrant more detailed coverage in a separate chapter.
